What is BSSC?

BSSC brings together two exciting forms of motorsport under one championship umbrella. Supermoto — high-performance motorcycle racing on mixed tarmac and dirt circuits — has been the heartbeat of British short-circuit racing for over two decades. For 2026, we've added the SuperLite championship: open-wheel single-seater off-road buggies powered by motorbike engines, racing on the same weekends at suitable circuits.

The championship visits six venues across England, Scotland, and Wales, with eight supermoto rounds and six SuperLite rounds — including a dedicated hillclimb event at Oliver's Mount, Scarborough.

Whether you're an experienced racer or a complete beginner, there's a class and a championship for you. The BSSC is organised by Norasport Supermoto Ltd.

How the Points System Works

We use an MXGP-style overall system. Here's how a typical round plays out:

01
Three Races
Each round consists of three races. All classes race together on track — the timing system records everyone's overall finishing position.
02
Class Positions
Your finishing position within your class is calculated from the overall results. If you're 8th overall but 1st Clubman — you score 1st in Clubman.
03
Day Total
Race points from all three races are added together to give your day total. The rider with the highest day total is the overall winner for that round.
04
Championship Points
Your overall position for the round determines your championship points. These accumulate across the season to decide the champion.
