After a really good weekend of racing where we finally got to sample the fantastic new offroad at Teesside, we now move on to Three Sisters for our final round of the year where thanks to a small band of amazing people we have another vastly improved off road that will suit every level of rider. The championship classes are really tight all the way through with many yet to use their Joker so as usual with our Championship iot will probably go down to the last lap of the last race – full points and jokers played can be seen here https://www.britishsupermotochampionship.com/results
Entries are now open follow this link for online entries to save £15 on the day entry surcharge -> https://nora92.com/event/norasport-bssc-championship-239/ Remember if paying cash on the day select the £15.00 event registration fee which is deducted from the entry fee at the meeting
Both days are attached – please download to your devices or print at home to save paper at the meeting.
For all those competitors who haven’t played their jokers please remember you have to actually contact us before 7pm on the Friday before the meeting to register your Joker for double championship points – JOKERS ARE NOT AUTOMATICALLY APPLIED THIS YEAR
There has been some confusion over the last few months about websites, We have two websites in operation now, for general info for all classes including Superlites it is www.BSSC.prowhere you can enter, access the rules regulations obtain licences etc. Or to keep up to speed with the British Championship in particular, links for the live streams and Championship positions with Joker played we have www.britishsupermotochampionship.com Click on both the links and bookmark the pages then you will always be in the know. Any page carrying Norasport in the address is a legacy page from our previous website & the dates are 12 months out of date.
You all should by now know our amazing official photographers Geoff and Claire Brooks and many of you have received lovely prints from them at no cost in the paddock, however we have struggled to make the 1000’s of fantastic photos they have taken easily available. Now you can easily download the photos completely unwatermarked in easy to access indvidual round albums from our flikr pro account accessed through the website here -> https://bssc.pro/photo-gallery or direct at https://www.flickr.com/photos/197884432@N02/albums
Many of you will already have seen on our socials the huge improvement that has gone on at Three Sisters to the centre off road section, if not search Facebook and Instagram. Lots of people were involved in this but we must give particular thanks to Dean Hillier for having the vision and passion to drive it through. Chris Walker for the amazingly generous loan of plant and equipment, Dean Wadgee Smith for a massive drive to labour in the rain and Ian Makinson, Three Sisters Circuit manager for having the confidence in us to allow the improvements to go ahead. This puts Three Sisters right up there with any Supermoto track anywhere.
Anyone who went to Olivers Mount probably had the opportunity to sample the incredible atmosphere and great prices at the “Supermoto Pub”, The Wander Inn, and many of you asked for it to be a permenent feature. We are delighted to say that they will be joining us at Three Sisters, opening from Friday afternoon till late Saturday night. Its down to us to support it if we want them to continue to come next year and be a regular feature at our meetings.
With Easter being very early next year we will not be running a warmup round in March but indstead having an Easter Mega meeting over three days. This means that our usual combination of warmup and presentation ecvening wont happen. However we are keen to have a social get together to honour all the 2023 champions and trophy winners. Our idea is to have an event very early March at a hotel probably in the Sheffield area where there will be space for motorhomes, caravans as well as reasonably priced accomodation. Before we go ahead and book we would like feedback from members to gauge the numbers willing to go so please let us know what your thoughts are.
After more years than anyone can remember Dave Clarke is hanging up his tyre levers and retiring, I’m sure you will all join us in wishing Dave all the best but many of you might be seeing more of him than you bargained for as Dave is threatening to come and race with us at a few of our meetings. We are very pleased though that we will have a seamless transition to a new tyre support that has given commitment to all the rounds in 2024, so we welcome officially CeeJay Davies from Motorcycle Tyres Scotland as our new tyre support. Many of you will know CeeJay from his racing days or probably more so from his efforts to keep Ian Bremner upright. You can pre-order tyres by contacting him on 07460 735710.
See you in the Wander Inn Friday night for a pint!!
Round 6 at Oliver’s Mount turned out to be a much better success than we thought it would be which is a testament to the hard work put in by a lot of people to make it happen. The weather put a dampener on things Sunday afternoon but showed us we can run in torrential conditions there as well as sunshine. We learnt a lot of lessons which means we can go again and improve and make the meeting better and better over the coming years. We have booked one event there next year already & we are looking at the possibility of running two. Thanks also to those who stayed to ride my Dad's memorial Hill Climb which was really enjoyable and worth being there to see Duncan Macbeth in his Superlite set an absolute course record and Oliver Homes a new bike record.
Now we got over the excitement of Olivers Mount we are right back at it for Teesside and hoping to fully utilise the fantastic new off-road section that was denied to us by the weather for Round 2.

After a great meeting at Three Sisters which had everything that makes Supermoto great, we now move on to what could be one of the most important meetings in recent British Supermoto history. It is very rare for us to have the opportunity to run at a new venue and to be able finally to go to Olivers Mount could give us a unique venue to run more than one meeting per year at. We are keeping the track layout secret but suffice it to say it ISN’T the full Road Race circuit, but it does incorporate iconic parts of this historic track. For Solo Supermoto & Sundays Academy there will be off-road and for Saturday & Sunday Mini-Bikes there will be tarmac-only races.
To guarantee that Supermoto can not only go back to Olivers Mount but grow into our own mini Mettet over the years it is essential we get as many spectators there as possible so I would ask everyone remotely interested in Supermoto to share the header banner on any social media we can, the more the merrier. With live music, camping fields and spectating right up and close to the action not to mention a fantastic mobile pub which will be open throughout the event it will make an enjoyable day out for anyone. Spectator & Camping tickets can be pre-purchased from the Olivers Mount website here -> https://oliversmount.ticketco.events/uk/en/e/supermoto
For this event you must pre-enter early, as usual you can pay cash on the day by selecting the £15 event registration fee which is deducted from your entry fee on the day but paying in full on line is the best and quickest way to get through signing on.

Moan Time – It has been widely accepted that our live streaming is a great step forward in helping promote the sport with the fantastic filming. We are really impressed with how Technative are constantly wanting to improve their coverage and move forward all the time so it is very disappointing when we have asked for rider information so they can produce rider “biog’s” on the screen that we have only received a handful of replies and a BIG FAT ZERO from the Top Ten riders in the Championship.
